What is Q-ID® Scanner 2.0 actually checking when it is scanning?
The printed quantum active molecules are excited with the flash of a smartphone. Their emission is captured in a series of images and those dynamics are measured by Q-ID® Scanner 2.0. The presence of quantum ink is identified, a quantum identity check is conducted and Machine learning model (AI) deployed.
Is the Q-ID® Scanner 2.0 100% secure?
Yes. Q-ID®s are non-cloneable security features based on validated uniqueness at the atomic level. We can’t counterfeit them, and extensive adversarial testing by our security printing partners has also confirmed that they can’t be counterfeited.
Does Q-ID® Scanner 2.0 work on every smartphone?
Q-ID® will work well on any iOS device 12+. The Android app has been built and is currently undergoing comprehensive QA and field testing. As standard, we onboard over 170 models of smartphone across both iOS and Android for certified partner programmes.
What is an app clip?
An app clip is a lightweight, instant version of an app on iOS that lets users access a specific function without downloading the full app. Users can seamlessly proceed into the app experience of authenticating a Q-ID®, without the barrier of downloading an app from the App store.
Is the Q-ID® Scanner 2.0 available via SDK?
Yes. The Q-ID® Scanner 2.0 SDK is now available to new and existing customers.
Does Q-ID® Scanner 2.0 work offline?
Offline options are available to allow authentication to continue when there is no data connection.
Can consumers use Q-ID® Scanner 2.0 to check a product’s authenticity or is this designed for law enforcement and excise staff?
