Quantum Base Q-ID® QR Codes can be applied to any product.
We are currently working across a number of vertical markets in the design and delivery of our unique quantum identities for individual product level authentication and brand protection, while allowing real-time consumer data capture on a global scale.
Apparel and Fashion
Our patented Quantum Secure Q-ID® QR Codes are helping to secure the integrity of global brands. Working with one of the top 10 global anti-counterfeit organisations, our unique “quantum fingerprint” Q-ID® identities can be incorporated on swing tags, labels or the product.
Q-ID®s enable apparel and sportswear brands and their consumers to connect, share and create in real time, providing customer insights on a global scale; maximising marketing impact, and creating new consumer touchpoints.
Auto and Aerospace
With an average of over 1 million parts in modern commercial passenger aircraft, amounting to billions of new parts annually, Quantum Base quantum secure Q-ID® technology can safeguard the integrity and identity of each part against counterfeit substitutes, in real time across global supply chains – maximising efficiencies, and securing safety and protection.
With Q-ID® QR Codes, billions of car parts and other automotive products can be uniquely identified, tracked and traced from origin to use, providing competitive advantage across just-in-time supply chains. Learn about our anti-counterfeit solution for aerospace and automotive sectors here.
Consumer Goods
Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) includes packaged foods, cosmetics, alcohol, beverages, cleaning supplies and other low-cost household items. As these products sell quickly at a relatively low cost, when counterfeits enter the supply chain, they can cause widespread disruption and harm to the public.
Our Q-ID® Optical tags provide security at an atomic level, exploiting the inherent randomness of quantum materials to create a solution which cannot be cloned by counterfeiters. Able to be incorporated on swing tags, labels or directly applied to the product, these unique identities can be read by a standard smartphone camera.
Electrical Goods
The rise in electrical goods has sadly brought a rise in counterfeit electricals. In fact, in March 2015, more than 6,500 items a day were seized at ports and borders due to a lack of safety or non-compliance, according to Trading Standards.
Able to be added at both product and packaging level, our Q-ID® tags are securing electrical products, such as memory cards, and empowering manufacturers across the globe.
Luxury Products
Luxury products such as watches, perfumes, handbags, jewellery, and arts & collectables are all highly desirable items, which make them prime targets for counterfeit sellers. Each year, around $50 billion in revenue is lost due to the counterfeit luxury goods market. This is on top of the additional damage done to brand trust, and the risk of faulty and dangerous components or materials entering circulation.
Our Quantum Q-ID®s help protect from the damaging factors that compromise customers and manufacturers safety and security. By integrating real-time track and trace systems and ESG data, we can secure supply chains globally and help to give buyers confidence in their purchases.
Nutraceuticals
Much like within the pharmaceutical industry, counterfeit nutraceutical products are on the rise, with large US manufacturers have finding exact replicates of their products being sold to thousands of unsuspecting consumers on Amazon and eBay.
Q-ID® Optical can be integrated both packing and foil level for a greater degree of authentication. After clinical trials, we will be able to offer our Q-ID® at pill level as well. This not only allows for authentication throughout the supply chain, but also empowers consumer-led authentication.
Pharmaceuticals
Counterfeit pharmaceuticals and medical devices are on the rise, with global pharmaceutical counterfeiting amounting to a $220bn value problem annually (PwC 2019), with the annual human death toll in excess of 1 million (World Health Organization 2019). Quantum secure Q-ID® QR Codes are designed to fit on all packaging and blister packs today, with individual pill level Q-ID® identification in ~ 24 months.
Q-ID®s bring 100% security in pharmaceutical supply chains, from global manufacturer to individual patient, armed with a standard smartphone.
Tax Stamps and ID/Passports
Quantum Base Q-ID® QR Codes provide unbreakable security for Governmental revenue protection, identity documents and tax stamps, helping combat global issues of counterfeit documentation. With increased counterfeiting in government passports, Quantum Base Q-ID®s are helping to redefine human security and identity on a global scale.
Tobacco and Vapes
While sales of genuine tobacco may be declining, counterfeit tobacco is still infiltrating the market at record numbers. Meanwhile, the sale of counterfeit vapes is becoming a serious threat to the health and safety of many unsuspecting customers. Counterfeit cigarettes and vapes can cause serious harm to consumers, containing ingredients such as weedkillers, metal splinters, dead insects and rat faeces, as well as illegal amounts of nicotine.
Our Q-ID® Optical tags provide security at an atomic level, exploiting the inherent randomness of quantum materials to create a solution which cannot be cloned by tobacco counterfeiters. They can be authenticated using a standard smartphone putting authentication in the hands of the consumer and delivering results in seconds.
Toys and Games
Children are one of the worst effected groups as a result of counterfeit production. Toys and games manufactured illegally are not subject to the same strict regulations which protect the safety of customers. Counterfeit toy products are often unregulated, which means there is a much greater chance of hazardous or harmful materials being used in their production and distribution. This puts innocent children at risk of illness and harm.
Thankfully, by securing products using our Quantum Q-ID® Optical solution, we can help eliminate the possibility of any counterfeits making their way to market. By putting the power of authentication back in customers’ hands, they can check the validity of their purchases with just a simple smartphone camera.
